RESCOLL EU project : 6 Month meeting of URBANREC – New approaches for the valorization of URBAN bulky

On 15 and 16th November, RESCOLL and the project partners of the URBANREC project met in Karlsruhe for the 6 Month Meeting meeting of the project.
URBANREC is financed under the EU Horizon 2020 programme and will last for 3.5 years. It aims to develop and implement eco-innovative and integral bulky waste management system, as well as to demonstrate their effectiveness in different regions.
URBANREC project also aims to valorize waste fractions obtained from urban bulky waste since urban bulky waste is a source of materials which currently ends in landfill. It focuses on the following raw materials streams – PU foam, wood, mixed hard plastics and mixed textiles.
In this frame, RESCOLL will work on the production of polyurethane adhesives based on recovered polyols from bulky waste.
RESCOLL is also involve into environmental issues regarding ecolabel definition, LCA and ETV implementation.
