Micro and Metallographic Analysis

To meet the demand of its clients Recoll has completed its panel of benefits by creating a sector of activity on the characterization metallographic. This activity takes up some of the techniques applied to other materials but has required investment on materials and dedicated skills. These micro and metallographic analyses include:

• Means of cutting and collecting samples,
• Micrographic Cut preparation line, polishing, acid attack,
• High Definition digital camera,
• Optical Microscope and image analysis software,
• Calcining Furnace,
• Micro durometer Vickers and Brinell,
• Electronic scanning Microscope (SEM) equipped with EDX,
• Expertise on breakage of parts (fractography)

The services meet the demands of the customers for the activities of reception controls of the raw materials, followed by the quality of the products in the production cycles, but also on the projects in development.

Recoll has customer qualifications in the aeronautical sector (AIRBUS, SAFRAN, GE), but is also equipped to work on micro and metallographic analyses in other sectors of activity such as medical, energy, Railroad, Naval, etc.
