RESCOLL involved in a new FP7 Collaborative Project: COALINE (Development of an innovative manufacturing process for the in-LINE COAting of pultruded composites)
Rescoll’Blog / 26 septembre 2013On September the 12th, partners of the project COALINE: “Development of an innovative manufacturing process for the in-LINE COAting of pultruded composites” celebrated the kick-off meeting in AIMPLAS facilities (Valencia, Spain).
The main objective of the COALINE project is the achievement of a in-line clean one-stage process, free of VOCs and small particle emissions, able to produce properly coated composite pultruded profiles by means of the development of the sensing technology, advanced mould design and microwave aided curing needed to foster an improved composite – coating adhesion with a reduced labor and process cost. Also, COALINE profiles will be joined to other materials by means of a primer type coating, incorporated also in-line, with bonding on-demand properties. The main target sectors are building and automotive (parts of electric cars).
The partnership of the project is composed of 2 research organizations (AIMPLAS, FRAUNHOFER), 1 University (Riga Technical University), 2 industrial partners (ACCIONA, MUEGGE,) and 7 small and medium-size enterprises (ALKE, COMPOSITES ARAGÓN, ECOINNOVA, PULTREX, RESOLTECH, RESCOLL, SYNTHESITES). The project web site (www.coaline.eu) will be available shortly.
The work leading to this invention has received funding from the European Union Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013) under grant agreement n° 609149.
